Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
since 2 weeks im experiencing burps and deep breathing. Can I know the cause and what I need to do? I already visit doctors and they gave me magnesium trisicilate with Histac Ranbaxy 150mg. Still this problem not solved. Please advise wat I can do next.
Burping and difficulty in deep breathing can be due to a condition called GERD that is Gastro-esophageal reflux disease. The lower esophageal sphincter is lax allowing the stomach contents to come up in esophagus and causing problems in esophagus and pharynx.
This can in turn cause pharyngitis and difficulty in deep breathing. You have already been on Histac of Ranbaxy 150 and Magnesium citrate which has not helped you much. Hence I would advise you the following:
Add on Pantoprazole and Domperidone. Change over from Mag Citrate to sucralfate to be taken when on empty stomach. Take small frequent meals of soft and bland diet. Early dinner and do not sleep immediately after food. No smoking or alcohol.
Do not take oily and spicy food. If these things fail then go for an upper GUI Endoscopy to find out the cause and get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
