my son has frequent nose bleeds, probably 5 or 6 in last week. Also has headaches, which usually come after the bleeds. is this norman? he has been taken to a doctor, they say it s from an old nose fracture, but i am becoming very concerned!!! should I get a second opinion??
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The nasal bleeding can be because of the respiratory tract infection or fractured nasal bone or soft tissue injury. Nothing to be panic, consult an oral maxillofacial surgeon and ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. If there is any infection then it has to be treated with a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin(if you are not allergic). If there is a fractured bone or any infection in the previous fractured site, it has to be curretted and treated again. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
