How To Cure Genital Warts?

I have questions about gential warts. Can they be contracted without sexual contact with an infected person? I have read that once you have them the virus never completely goes away, does that mean they can recur at any time? Can they be treated with over the counter med's?

Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

I understand from your query that you are concerned about genital warts.

You can get the warts only after close skin contact with an infected person.

It is not true that the virus never goes away. It will clear completely if adequate treatment is taken.

The treatment options include local application of podophyllin resin, cryotherapy and cauterization. These are all procedures which can be done only by a doctor. They do not respond to over the counter medicines meant for warts in other areas. These contain caustics and can burn the delicate genital skin and hence should not be used.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
