Thank you for the query.
As per the information provided, you are 38 yrs old (gender not mentioned), well controlled
hypertension (on
lisinopril 2.5mg) and on lifestyle modifications.
First and foremost, hypertension is a chronic condition, something which is not treatable but controllable. Presently, you have achieved an accepted control of your blood pressure level. As per the new hypertension guidelines (JNC VIII), your blood pressure level should be less 140/90 mm of Hg (which has been achieved).
However, please remember, that this control has been possible partly due to Lisinopril. If you stop this drug, your BP may shoot up. I understand that it is very difficult for you to take anti-hypertensive drugs at this age, but if you don't take them, the consequences may not be desirable. Due to job
stress and
anxiety, many individuals of your age group are being detected with Hypertension, so you need not be upset regarding this.
I would advise you to go for a salt restricted dietary regimen and avoid
saturated fat, which is also a part of the lifestyle modifications. A daily exercise regimen may be beneficial for you.
Hope this helps you out.
