How To Cure Large Painful Canker Sore On The Tongue?
Hi i have two large canker sore on my tongue from wearing a permanate retainer on my lower teeth. Not sure if my tongue is scraping it or not . Its so painful I cannot eat. I have used over the counter rinses, and meds nothing seems to be relieving the pain

Hi, if its painful then you will have to take oral antibiotics ( cephalosporins or macrolides) with analgesics and antihistamines for 3 to 5 days at least, chlorhexidine mouth wash,warm salt water gargles.
You can apply dentogel or zytee gel 1 or 2 drops over canker area to anesthetize painful part with vitamin b complex and folic acid 5 mg once a day.
There are several other remedies available but above treatment is standard and more than enough.
