How To Cure Pain And Swelling Of Finger Due To A Cut?

Have infected cut on finger. Doctor put me on antibiotic gave me a tetanus shot and took an X-ray. X-Ray was good problem is that after almost 48 hours my finger is still swollen and throbbing and can t bend it. What else can I do for this finger? I am taking Motrin for pain.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swelling over the finger following trauma can be because of infection. You need to take a course of antibiotics particularly amoxicillin and metronidazole combination(if you are not allergic). The infection will come down in 5 days.
