How To Cure Pain In Throat After Vomiting Due To Gagging?
I am a 30 yr old female. I have undergone 3 high dosage chemotherapy treatments and I have a lot of mucus that causes me to gag every morning. THis morning I actually had food in my stomach that i threw up and caused serious pain in my throat. what can i do to alleviate this mucus and gagging issue, and relieve my throat pain?
Chemotherapy is known to cause vomiting which may last for days. And a throat pain is a common scenario following vomiting due to digestive juices.
You need to take extra precaution in diet - avoid hot & spicy foods, take bland soft diet, take smaller quantities at a time and at least have frequencies of food every 2-3 hours, good and nutritious diet.
Further you need to take Antacids like and Antiemetic till your therapy lasts. Ask your physician for the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
