How To Cure Pleural Effusion In Short Time Which Returned After Medication?

Hi,I was diagnosed with pleural effusion almost 3 years back and took medications (AKT-4 etc) for almost 3 months after which the effusion reduced substantially to almost normal level. However, I just got the chest x-ray done and it looks like there is significant pleural effusion at the moment. I am not having any difficulty in breathing and any chest pain as such, but I am worried about the returned effusion. Could you please let me know what can be reason and is there any way the same can be curbed in a short span of around 2-3 weeks. Thanks

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi,

Previously, you took AKT4 for a subptimal duration as minimum duration of AKT4 is 6 months. Previous incomplete treatment could be one of the causes of relapse. Nevertheless you need to currently get evaluated in detail with a Pulmonologist.
