Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this typhoid your child has been diagnosed of. I am happy to know she is already on treatment. Fever is managed with drugs. Paracetamol can be given every 6hours and Ibuprofen every 8hours. I will suggest that you give the ibuprofen in between doses of paracetamol to ensure that the fever is covered continuously by the ibuprofen and meftal-p. Also, dress the child light, administer fluids and place cold towels. all these would be helpful to keep the fever controlled. the good news is that as this infection gets treated, there would be no more need for fever medications.
