How To Cure Red Sore Rash On Genital Area And Thigh?
Hi, My baby daughter who is 20 months old has developed a very red and sore rash look alike in her private parts and bottom and also a patch on the side of her left thigh. It started 4 days ago with the patch on her thigh together with diarrhea. The diarrhea gradually got better but it hasn t gone away yet but the rash (or maybe a fungus) is now gone all over her private parts and bottom. England has gotten warm last week so i presume it could be heat but i think there is something wrong. I tried Sudo Cream which made it a lot worst. I a not wiping her when she open her bowls now, just wash her bottom with water but the rash hasn t come down at all! What shall I do?? Thanks, a very concern mummy :(
If followed an episode of diarrhea, this is most likely diaper rash only. The main thing to be done here is to keep the area clean and dry as far as possible. Wiping dry the area after every watering or washing is very important. Also, apply the rash cream mentioned after every cleaning. If not getting better in 5 days, we will have to rule out thrush.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
