When you are approaching the labour, the mouth of the uterus (cervix) starts shortening and opening. The pain of the cervix is referred to the low back. The labour pains start at the low back and are radiated in front - what you are experiencing. These pains come with some gaps, and are progressive in nature. Usually with such pains, some blood stained vaginal mucous discharge is seen which is called as show.
Since you have completed 39 weeks of pregnancy, it is fine for you to deliver any time now since the baby is fully mature.
Please report to your Obstetrician. If it turns out labour pains, better get admitted in the Maternity hospital.
I hope you will take the due action.
