How To Cure Skin Rash Associated With Pregnancy ?

Hi, I am 21 weeks pregnant and have developed a skin rash associated with pregancy. It causes, hive like rashes, that are very itchy, red , and hive like. They are spread in various parts of my body. The doctor confirmed it is alright if I take Benadryl, but wanted to know if it is alright to take claritan as well. Should I take it once a day? In the morning? Please advise

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

In any patient presenting with similar symptoms, the treatment with Benadryl is appropriate. It is also thought to be okay to take Claritin as well - usually we have patients avoid the Claritin that has pseudo-ephedrine in it. While I am telling you that this is considered safe, given that this is not a source for direct medical advice, please confirm this with your doctor as well.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
