my wife is 8 week pregenant she has lots of abdominal pain which is almost unbearable with lower back pain......she releases air from mouth in heavy qty. seems suffering with heavy gasteric problem.....please suggest for immediate relief for this pain
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your wife and understood your concerns. Since your wife is pregnant by 8 weeks, this is the period that many a medicines are avoided or not given at all for fear of causing problems with development of the fetus. I would advise you the following in such a situation. Consult your Doctor or at ER or preferably her Gynecologist for clinical examination, and investigations if any required. Give her plenty of oral fluids and electrolyte solution to avoid dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Do not treat her at home as you have to be careful even for giving the OTC medications. She may need tests of blood, urine and stool along with ultrasonography of the abdomen to get an additional information to get a proper management as this is a crucial period for her and her baby.
