How To Cure The Feeling Of Sand In Eyes?

HI my name is Steph. I am 34 yrs of age, weight is about 118 and I'm 5"2. Very healthy, avid runner (training for half marathon right now.) My question is this. For the last few months I've had this feeling of sand in my eyes. (mostly left eye.) I've been to the Dr. twice for it. The first time I was treated for pink eye and the second I was treated for allergies. I've been taking eye drops and that seems to help (Visine Allergy) but today it seems like even with using the eye drops the feeling of sand it still there. What do you think I should do? Go see and eye Dr. or go back to my family Dr. Thanks! I appreciate any feed back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms can be attributed to:
1. Dry eye
2. Conjuctivitis
3. Allergic reaction
4. Uveitis
5. Glaucoma

Kindly consult an Ophthalmologist & get a complete eye examination done.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & proper nutrition.
Use dark goggles while going out in the sun.
Since eyes are the most sensitive organs of the body, do not put any OTC drop or ointment without consultation.

Take care.
