I suggest that if discharge is coming out it must be tested to evaluate for infectious agent by gram staining and culture tests for bacterial both aerobic and anaerobic infection. If sterile no need to worry just maintain good hygiene. But if infectious take treatment based on the sensitivity reports. Best of the surgeries are sometimes ruined by infection. So take precautions.
