How To Cure Toe Infection Without Removing The Nail Plate ?
Hello! Two weeks earlier a twig struck my left toe just a little inside the nail. But now it has turned into an infection and has spread under the toe nail and around the nail. I have started medication from yesterday. My doctor said that the nail plate is covering the injury or infection and if I get my nail plate removed it will be good, but I don t want to remove my nail plate. Now Please suggest me any option if its possible to heal it without removing the nail plate? I m so worried. Thanks.

There will be some pain after the anaesthesia effect subsides...you will be put on painkillers after that, which will take care of the pain...and the nail will regrow as the natural one was...dont worry much...

What you have is paronychia....Where there is infection in the nailbed...the best treatment is to remove the nail...so that the infection, in the form of pus, drains out...What the doc has advised is 100% correct...u'll regain that nail again after some time...dont worry...local anaesthesia will be given and removed..u wont feel any pain
