Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. One of the main cause of vaginal itching is fungal infection or bacterial vaginosis.I give clotrimazole suppository or ointment for fungal infection. In case of bacterial vaginosis i advise antibiotic combinations like metronidazole and clotrimazole as suppository or oral tablets. If these are ruled out then it can be due to irritation caused by soap or due to dryness. In such cases you should avoid irritating soaps and even hard detergents on undergarments should be avoided. You can use hypoallergic soaps like Cetaphil or use warm water or saline for clean the area.I also advise ointments contain corticosteroid and moisturizers for local application in such case.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
