How To Cure Yeast Infection?

I have a brutal yeast infection (on day two of treatment) I m itchy and swollen. But about an hour ago I pulled a clump of my boyfriends pubic hair out of my vagina.. And we haven t had sex in a few days. Could this have caused the yeast infection or something different altogether?
