What Causes Yeast Infection Inspite Of Using Terconazole And Fluconazole?
Hello i ve had discover a yeast infection for over a year i kept getting tested and it came up as a yeast infection .. I have used terconazole & fluconazole and my discharge is still there I was gonna use to azo but idk what is best to cure yeast infection ?
Can you mention what exactly the symptoms are? Is it vaginal candidiasis (you mentioned persisting discharge)? What was the test done that showed yeast? Vaginal candidiasis will cause itching and burning apart from a white, curdy discharge.
In case it is not responding, this suggest resistance and we have to try another class of anti-fungal. If responding but recurrent, we have to rule out predisposing factors like diabetes, frequent antibiotic use or immune dysfunction. Also this may need prophylactic treatment for few months. Kindly discuss with your doctor for evaluation and treatment accordingly
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
