Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 5 year old wont sleep through the night in his bed. He as in the past, but now wants me to sleep with him or in his room. He says he is scared, and cries these big crocodile tears. How do I get him to stay in his bed all night. I have an older son, and never had any problems with him.
Hi....I understand your concerns. This is called night terrors. Sometimes this might start after they see any horror movie or unpleasant scenes or accidents or death or any thing that scares the kid - it could even be a movie like Godzilla. Only a child can know what the reason and can come definitely come out of it. But only issue is a patient talk will get it out of him or her and if not, he needs a child psychologist to talk to him and get into the depth of the matter. Nothing to worry. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
