How To Deal With Pain In Heart For Child With Congenital Heart Disease?
my daughter 12 yrs old, is having a small hole in heart by birth. doctor said it will be closed automatically while growing. not to be panic. she is very active and grow normally. now since yesterday she is tellin gthat having a slight pain in her heart. what to do? I m so scared
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Small hole in heart must a have closed by this age. You can do one Echocardiography to confirm that. The pain which your daughter having could be muscular related or retrosternal (under the chest) pain secondary to esophageal reflux (gastritis). Just avoiding the spicy food and antacid will help her reduce the pain. If pain is very severe and continues , she needs to checked by a pediatrician / paediatric surgeon. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
