How To Determine Recovery From Hyperactive Thyroid?

I have been diagnosed with a hiperactive thyroid, Graves desease. I did feel pretty bad about a month ago: weak, too hot, can't sleep, shaky hands... But since i started eating a lot in the morning about two weeks ago, i feel just fine. My hands still shake but other than that i feel pretty good. Could it be that my hyperactive thyroid went away on it's own? My doctor has prescribed Methamazole Tapazole, but I don't want to take it if I feel just fine.

Hello dear User:
I have gone through your question.
I can understud your concers.

Please answer the following questions for more information:
-How long has been that you are diagnoses with Graves’ disease?
-Are you taking the therapy as docter recomandation you ?
-May i know how older are you?

You are telling that after eating in the mornig your symptoms redused, ist it ?You feel fine.

Acording that iam saying : Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder and
Some people who get Graves' disease sometimes have other autoimmune diseases, such as:
•     Type 1 diabetes( a disease that causes blood sugar levels to be too high_
•     Pernicious anemia — a disease that keeps your body from absorbing vitamin B12 and making enough healthy red blood cells

So you need to do :
-Gl CBC (Complete Blood Count, also known as Hemogram; includes Hemoglobin, WBC and Platelet counts)
-Glucose test in morning
-HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin = your last 3 months' glucose average).
-Vit B12.

About your councern : Could it be that my hyperactive thyroid went away on it's own?
My answer is :You must to treat your thyroid with Anti-Thyroid medication and to help using some foods that can help control Graves’ disease symptoms as:
•     anti-inflammatory herbs: basil, rosemary, parsley and oregano are all anti-inflammatory
•     fresh vegetables(green juices: these provide vital nutrients and fight inflammation)

•     fresh fruit: (a great source of antioxidants and electrolytes, but avoid processed fruit juices)
•     bone broth:(( helps heal the gut and improve detoxification)
•     probiotics: balance bacteria within the digestive tract and fight leaky gut syndrome
•     healthy fats including omega-3s:
•     spices like tumeric, garlic and ginger:((known to help boost immune system functionunctions)
Dear user be sure that you can’t any other autoimmune desease like diabetes and anemia ,chec again
•     TSH test. The ultrasensitive TSH test is usually the first test performed.
•     T3 and T4 test..
•     Radioactive iodine uptake test
•     Thyroid scan.     This scan shows how and where iodine is distributed in the thyroid. With Graves’ disease the entire thyroid is involved, so the iodine shows up throughout the gland.

I sugestt you too meet your endocrinologist again after thse lab egzams.Dont hesitate to ask me.Hope it was helpful to you!
