How To Determine The Exact Date Of Conception?

Hi im a little confused , My last period was Jan 18th my dating scan on March14th put me at 9w3d thats 1w3d ahead , does that mean i was actually pregnant before my period or does it actually match up? I had a doctor tell me it actually matches and that i probably ovulated earlier than i thought. My other scans went with the first scan EDD Oct 14 If i was pregnant before my period it would mean i ovulated around Jan7-8

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The exact date of conception is 2 weeks ahead of the predictable menstrual date and so there is a difference of 2 weeks period between the LMP counted gestational age and ultrasound counted fetal age.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
