Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear i can understand your concern
there are some test to Diagnose type 1 diabetes
they are
1. GAD65 antibodies
2.Islet cell antibodies
3.c-peptide analysis and insulin essay in fasting
but i suggest you to take medication for few days and lets stabilize you diabetes and go for testing.
most of cases in world are type 2 diabetes so its better to rule out type 1 diabetes which is having very little prevelence.

most of this test should be interpreted with caution as they need good clinical experience.i suggest you to meet a Diabetologist or endocrinologist.

As a matter of fact both types of diabetes are equally dangerous if not controlled properly.
regards
