How To Diagnose A Mass Under Left Chest Area?

Hello, my husband has a visit with his primary care doctor on Tuesday, but is fretting due to finding a mass under his left breast area, it is not nodular, it is about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide, on his rib area, it is separate from his breast tissue when manipulated, it feels fatty. He has a history of testicular cancer and under went chemotherapy for 4 months following removal of his diseased testicle, as his numbers elevated. He just had his check up in September and all was good. I just know the stress is causing him undue worry. Any suggestions. He works in construction, lifting, but it does not seem to be hernia, nonpainful.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible since the lesion is fatty that it is a lipoma which is a collection of fat but this can be confirmed by he visits his doctor.

Lipomas are normally not painful.

I hope this helps
