How To Diagnose Food Allergy Due To Swollen Throat After Eating?
Hello , im wondering if my husband may have gotten an allergic reaction to some pork chops that i made for dinner? He claims to not be feeling like himself and that his throat feels swollen . Could it be an allergic reaction ?If so should he go to a hospital ?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems like your husband is allergic to pork and it is the cause of choking of throat and swollen feeling. In case if he has breathlessness or other problems like hives, rashes , dizziness, vomiting etc you should immediately consult an Emergency Room and get evaluated.. As of now he can take anti-allergics like Allergy (Fexofenadine), or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for reducing allergy symptoms.. Do warm saline gargles.. You can also consult an Allergist and get allergic testing done like food challenge test so that exact cause can be ruled out and treated accordingly..
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
