General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

To get diagnosed a ruptured ear drum, you are suggested to visit an ENT. You will have to go through audiology.

The ENT, may use Otoscope (auriscope) to view the ear canal & ear drum or any perforation there.

You will be treated with medicines or surgery depending on the type of pathology detected.

In the meantime, be careful while taking bath, avoid using shower. Avoid swimming for a couple of days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
