How To Diagnose If A Person Is Going Through Menopause Due To Delay In Periods?

So I had to stop taking birth control pills, I've been on them since I've been 17 years old, got off them twice for my pregnancies.....now I am 51 and have not had my period since July 28th, is it possible that I may be in menopause, could it be possible that I've been going through it while on the pill?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes as you are 51 you could have undergone menopause. This might be the reason of delay or absence of periods in you.
You should now stop taking these pill & wait for your periods. If your periods doesn't take place. You should suspect menopause has taken place in you.
If you are sexually active, use condoms as a method of contraception. You should also do a pregnancy test to ruleout pregnancy possibility.
