How To Diagnose Lichen Planus Causing Red Patches On Breasts And Inner Thighs?
hi. My name of Phindy, 31years and i think I have lichen planus. Though I haven t seen a doctor yet. It appears to be growing. I just started jogging in the morning a few days ago and it appeared on my breasts and armpits. I thought it was due to the perspiration. A few days later its grown and now my breasts are covered in red thick patches. It is very itchy and uncomfortable. grow I have also realised that it has grown down to my inner thighs and stomach. How can i stop the itching because i used a nystacid ointment but it doesn t help.

Hi....the symptoms you have described could be of Lichen planus or a simple Taenia infection. Lesions of LP include purplish, polygonal, plane topped, polished surface, plaques. There will be desire to rub the skin but not scratching. But your symptoms could also be because of Taenia infection which pesents as circular itchy lesions, with small fluid filled vesicles or papules , with peripheral speading and central clearing. sometimes Psoriasis can also present like this. Only skin biopsy will confirm Lichen planus. so kindly consult your Dermatologist for complete eveluation. Its of no use if you use LP treatment for Taenia or viceversa. Take care. Bye.
