How To Ease Chest Pain And Breathing Difficulty With Possible LAE?
Dr, i am 38 year old male, for the last three months, i feel pain on centre of my chest. and some times i feel difficult to respirate also.latest ECG shows that there may be the possibility of LAE. Kindly suggest me to recover from this and what are the basic causes on the same ?
Thanks for your question on HCM. LAE is left atrial enlargement. Left atrium receives blood from Pulmonary arteries. This is oxygenated blood. From left atrium, this oxygenated blood will go in left ventricle and from here it goes in aorta and different parts of body. So any obstruction in this flow of blood can cause left atrial enlargement. Following are the causes for this. 1. Mitral stenosis 2. Mitral valve incontinence or regurgitation. 3. Dilated cardiomyopathy. So get done 2d echo to rule out causes for LAE.
