How To Get Off From Wellbutrin And Prozac Prescribed For PTSD?
Hi I m on wellbutrin 450 mg, invega 9 mg, Prozac 40 mg n also lamotrigine 300mg. I was just diagnosed with Ptsd n fee l like I ve been over medicated. Treated for bipolar when I think I just had a mental/life stress breakdown. I even had shock therapy. It all happened so fast. How can I get off these awful meds?

You have bipolar disorder and recently diagnosed with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). You are taking bupropion 450, paliperidone 9, fluoxetine 40 and lamotrigine 300. If you are thinking that your are over medicated then you can consult your doctor for dose reduction of these drugs. The doses should be reduced by gradually reducing the doses by 20-25% every one to two weeks. This will not result in withdrawal effects and you will feel better. Drugs like Bupropion should be continued as the drug is a good anti anxiety and anti depressant drug. Consult your psychiatrist for making any change in prescription.
