I have PCOD & was on fertility treatment (Siphene for 4 months) & conceived the 4th month for the first time. I had a incomplete abortion last month 3rd Sept 2012 & a D&C was done the same day. I was not told the reason for miscarriage. I was put on iron tab for a month. My periods started on 13th Oct'12. I got thyroid stimulating hormone & free thyroxine test done the same day & it's within the reference range given in the report (yet to meet the Dr.) My Dr. has given folic tablets now & advised me to try naturally for 2-3 months, if it did not work then would go ahead with the treatment.
Meanwhile, how can I get my periods happen naturally (as I have PCOD it's very irregular)? 2. Should I take any vitamin supplements? I am a vegetarian.
Hi, Thanks for consulting us. Irregular periods are very common in women with PCOD. They are usually associated with an-ovulation. If you are obese then weight reduction to attain a normal BMI is the number one method that can help you get natural regular periods & even ovulation. All other methods involve medicines! You may take Vitamin supplements but limit yourself to Folic acid only if you become pregnant. Best of luck.
