Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
27 years, 5ft10 165 in weight have had a bump on right side of anus which sometimes gets pushed out of anus after stool and then may need to physically push it by finger back in to sit normally. kindvoff looks like a hemerrhoid but has been going on for 4 months. should i be worried?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of a bump on the side side of the anus for the last 4 months. It appears on passing bowel movement and has to be pushed manually back in after completion of the bowel movement. Yes this is a prolapsing hemorrhoid or a polyp from above. I would advise you the following. First of all, get examined by a General Surgeon to see whether this is a polyp or hemorrhoid. This will be done by digital examination, Ano-proctoscopy and colonoscopy to be on the safer side.
Get operated if indicated.
