I am 66 years old female who never experienced headaches until couple years ago. For for the past 5 months I have severe headaches when I cough, sneeze, bend over to pick up something off floor or even clear my throat, enough I feel my head will explode. The headache is still there as a dull headache in the back left side of my head even if I don t cough, sneeze or bend over, but when I do it is sharp excruciating pain and it will settle back to the dull headache usually within 1o - 15 minutes. I have been to an neurologist, had MRI, Cat Scan, a spinal tap, neck xrays, and even a Pet Scan ( I am a prior breast cancer patient) and every test comes out normal. I went through this over a year ago and one night it was so severe I went to the hospital and they gave me an IV and it went away for 10 months, but now is back. I went to the hospital 3 times in November and December and they gave me the same IV as a year or so ago and the next day the symptoms was back. I even just finished 30 chiropractic treatments (3 a week for 10 weeks) and they lightened it somewhat when I am idle but the sneeze, cough or bend over still generates the most severe pain I have ever experienced. Any suggestions as I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks
