How To Get Rid Of Emphysema?

Hi I am 21 years old and a very avid athlete. I recently took a pulmonary function test and its results told me i have the earlist stages of emphysema. I am trying to join the military and this is prohibiting my service, do you have any advice on how i could get it to read differently?

Hello Gentleman .
Let me explain , what is "EMPHYSEMA " so that , you will understand better our constraint.
Emphysema is an anatomically defined condition characterized by destruction & enlargement of lung alveoli .
Destruction has already done including enlargement of alveoli.
As far as known to me there is no way that reverse can done because etiology of disease in not known .
Only surgery is an option , lung volume reduction surgery or bullectomy.
However certain precaution should be taken as breathing exercise regularly , avoid dust , mite, pollen , smoking .
