I am 28 years old female.Married.Weight gain is high.It reduces very little on exercise. No Thyroid on blood report too.Facial tanning is my biggest problem. How do I get rid of it?Can I use store bought Meladerm or Melalite creams?Or do I need to go for chemical peels?Pls answer.
I would advice that you use a broad spectrum sunscreen, which offers both UVB and UVA protection, throughout the day.
A skin lightening cream containing one or more of the following agents e.g kojic acid, glycolic acid, arbutin, hydroquinone etc can be used one or twice daily.
Meladerm and Melalite cream contain a potent steroid, mometasone and should never be used indiscriminately without the supervision of a doctor because of fear of steroid related adverse effects like acne, hirsutism, photosensitivity, skin thinning and telangiectasias etc.
