How To Get Rid Of Feeling Of Having Lump In Throat?
Good afternoon. I started to get acid reflux last night so I took 300mg of Zantac which usually always works but now I have this lump feeling in the lower part of my throat that isn t going away. Should I be concerned or is there anything that I can take to get rid of this feeling? Thank You!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
It is mostly the acid reflux / drinking antacid pill drinking without water, causing irritation to the pharynx. To have relief, drink plenty of water, drinking carbonated liquid, eating butter or sucking a pill of Gelusil. This would soothe it out and give relief. It would be alright over the time without doing anything / continuing gastric reflux medication / avoiding eating oily, spicy food in night.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
