Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small pea sized bubble on my left knee, right under the kneecap. Its translucent and looks like it has fluid inside, and it s a little redish pink. Can I pop it? Or what should I do to take care of it? It doesn t hurt unless I put pressure on it. It almost looks like a blister on my knee. I ve had it for 4 days now.
Just go about a warm compress over the region several times a day, do not attempt to pop it. If at all it lasts for longer than about 10 days without any signs of regression then report to a surgeon who will go about an incision and drainage with antibiotic coverage.
Best wishes.
