Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I hvae fluuid in my ears and it feels like pressure in my head what can I do. I went to the emergency room and all they did was to write me a prescriptiion for nasal spray in my nose once time a day. I have high blood pressure what is good to make me feel better
As per your query you have fluid in your ear and feel pressure in your head . Well the probable reasons for fluid in your ear is infection of ear . It seems to me that there is eustachian tube dysfunction also . Sometimes infection spread from upper respiratory track infection or post nasal drip due to sinusitis to ear through eustachian tube , which connect pharynx to ear . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine with otoscope , order swab test a, viral culture test and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) , decongestants , mucolytic agent , diuretic and anti inflammatory . For now keep your ear dry and apply dry hot compresses to external ear . Continue using nasal spray and do warm saline gargles .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
