How To Get Rid Of Itchy Rashes Around Base Of Neck?
Hi I have a skin rash around the base of my neck - they appear like little blisters and are very itchy. I am healthy otherwise - I do have High Blood Pressure but that has been for approx.. 10 years. This rash first appeared a couple of weeks ago but then disappeared. It started again on Thursday and today has really expanded to completely circle the base of my neck. Thank you Lynda Skuse
Your rash around the neck is apparently allergic in nature (called Allergic Contact Dermatitis), due to either,
- the pendant chain around the neck,
- infected/sweaty collar of the shirt or,
- shirt made of synthetic fabric.
The cause of allergy can be identified by avoiding the above mentioned items, one at a time.
An ointment containing a steroid + antihistaminic drug, apart from avoiding the culprit item, will cure the rash.
