How To Get Rid Of Lower Back Pain After Falling On My Butt?

Hi. Fell on my butt about 6 weeks ago and still can t sit for more than a few minutes without pain and can t drive for more than a few blocks before my butt and lower and mid back starts hurting. It hurts all the time and throbs, burns, ache and pains sitting, lying down or standing. The low back pain, butt and leg pain that s mainly on the left side keeps me taking pain killers and muscle relaxants. No broken tail bone, but in the middle of my lower back in the area where the butt crack meets the back is a pain all by itself. How (approximately) long does an injury like this last?

I have gone through your query.From your history i suspect a Lumbosacral intervertebral disc injury, like herniation of it.A physical examination with orthopedician can give clue for that and an X ray examination followed by MRI might be needed to confirm it.For such cases i treat my patients with muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside NSAIDs like Aceclofenac and Neurotropic.I send them for physiotherapy after that.If there is no improvement in treatment and if injury is severe i recommend surgical correction.Hope this may help you.
