hi there i have a really bad migraine the lights hurt my eyes and i struggled to get out of bed to come research this on the computer..i was wondering what the right amount of ibuprofen to take is it doesn t say on the bottle how many to take im 20 yrs old and weight approx 118. Back home in Australia i take nurofen which is codeine (12.8 mg) and ibuprofen (200mg) but i have been told that is available only by prescription and i cant get to the doctors until Friday so all i have is ibuprofen and Tylenol which does nothing.
I'm sorry to hear about your migraine. Tylenol is usually not very effective for migraines, but NSAIDs such as ibuprofen can help break it sometimes. Since those are the only two medications you have available what I would recommend is a high dose of ibuprofen -800mg and 1000mg of tylenol taken together. Don't exceed 3000mg if ibuprofen or tylenol in a day. Caffeine can also help so drinking caffeinated beverages may aid as well. Lastly drink lots of water or other hydrating fluids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
