How To Get Rid Of Milia On The Face And Around The Lips?

Yes hi I have milia on my face around my lips and on my outer vagina I'm on antibiotics Lyme cycling 408mg 1 daily which I have been taking forever and a day! I do suffer from normal spots sometimes which the tables help. I'm feel very conscience of them my doc said there is nothing to get rid of them I am in my early 60.s in good health please can you help me

As per your complain milia over the lips and face occurs when the dead cells gets entrapped into the pores and do not shed naturally..
It leads to formation of white raised spots over the face and lips and around the nose..
It is harmless and does not require any specific treatment and you can scrub our face using a gentle scrub to clear the face..
In case if you do not see any improvement in a week consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated..

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have milia on the face and around the lips which is a small cystic lesion containing whitish keratinous material. It is a benign condition. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to left it untreated, if you do not have any problem with it as it is purely benign condition. If it is problematic and embarrassing for you, Then surgical treatment is the only option. It cab be removed by extraction of material with pin. Another treatment option is electrocautery under local anaesthesia. Maintain skin rehydrated by drinking plenty of water.
