Hello… My question for you is that I am 22 years old and I have a serious opiate addiction. I have tried many different methods of stopping and none of them have worked. I have been to rehabs, outpatient, and many other counseling and none have stopped me from using. I have tried suboxone and it does not help either, and sometimes makes me sick. What is the process of getting prescribed Methadone because I could not go to a clinic every day for I have 2 jobs and take 6 classes in college. Please answer this question and give me any other details as well. Thank you so much!
Hello, You can never leave opiates if you try to quit them cold turkey because of their strong withdrawl symptoms. The best way to leave them is to taper their dose very slowly so that your body doesn't get shock. Withdraw the dose by 10% every 4 weeks. Although this would take many months but you shall be able o come out of it with very less difficulties. Thanks
