How To Get Rid Of Phlegm In Soft Palate?

All day I m hacking up phlegm that s settled in my soft palate. It has been this way for around 8 months. I have maybe mild allergies sometimes but haven t been sick. I am 26 and sound like an old lady hacking all day, and gagging and almost vomiting. I take Prilosec for my acid reflux and it keeps indigestion symptoms at bay. How do I get rid of this phlegm issue?

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CONCERN.

As per your query Phlegm in soft palate is because nasal mucosa produces lots of mucus daily which got swallowed and you feel phlegm in throat/soft palate. Well need not to worry about it, you can easily get rid of it.

I would suggest you to try MUCINEX as an expectorant. Take tea with little more lemon added in it. If phlegm is behind your soft palate you can get rid of it by rinsing your nose with saline solution. Use netty pot along with warm saline water. Use nasal saline drops three times a day to thin down your secretions. Keep using vaporizers.

Visit ENT specialist if your symptoms keeps on persisting or exaggerating.
