My husband s feet smell horrible and have red blotches around the bottom. Sometimes they are dry snd flaky. He uses goldbond spray everyday and it does not help. He says they are not itchy like atheletes foot and I have notbeen infected either. What else could it be?
-Your husband is most probably is having skin condition called pitted keratolysis...it is a superficial bacterial infection of soles...characterised by whitish skin and clusters of punched-out pits. -It is one of the common causes of smelly feet. -Apply topical fusidic acid2% twice a day for 3 weeks. -Wear boots for as short a period as possible. -Wear cotton socks and wash them in warm water on daily basis. -If having excessive sweating of feet than apply antiperspirant to the feet at least twice weekly Hope this will help...
