Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, about a week ago, I had a a really bad pain in the back of my neck that brought tears to my eyes. It felt like a nasty cramp that extended from the right side of my neck, to the back of my head(right side) and since then I keep getting these nasty pains in the back of my head. It hurts even more with the cold, and occasionally I feel a vein in my head throbbing. I m freaking out.
I have studied your case. Due to compression of this nerve root there can be neck and head pain. I will advise you to do MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
