How To Get Rid Of Side Effects Of Depo Shot?

Hi,Im on the depo shot and I m due for the third one the next week, for the last month I ve been bleeding, at first was bright red blood, and now is brown/clot discharge and cramps. Ever since the first shot I had mood swings, get depressed a lot and think of hurting myself( which I never had before and it is bothering me quite a lot), feel tired all the time and want to sleep a lot. Should I stop the depo shot and get into another form of bc or will those side effects go away if I continue with it?

Hello,

The symptoms you are experiencing are the expected side effects of depo shots. These side effects will eventually reduce if you continue with the shots as your body gets used to the medication.

Hope this answers your query
