Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of Fungal infection/intertrigo. Fungal infection/intertrigo is common in the axilla because the sweating and moisture provides an ideal environment for the fungus to grow.

I advice my patients to use an anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole twice daily for 4 weeks.

An anti-fungal dusting powder in addition to being an anti-fungal keeps the area dry and decreases the odour as well

take care
regards

Hi,

I can understand your concern for smelly, dark red circles on the armpits.

It can be due to fungal infection or mixed infection or due to activity of bacteria to produce strong odor due to degradation. Keep your self away from hot and humid climate. For the betterment kindly follow the suggestions below:

- Take two times bath.

- Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments to be changed two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.

- Do cold compression or warm water compresses according to the weather condition.

- Do not sit continuously for long hours.

For the red circles you can apply anti-fungal creams such as "Sertaconazole" or "clotrimazole " and take anti-fungal tablets according to medical advise.

Take care.
