General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, there are 2 steps of procedure to be followed in your case.

Step 1 includes diagnosis confirmation :

- consulting with expert consultant surgeon, who may decide the nature of tumor and whether any soft tissue ultrasound or x-ray is mandatory or not

Step 2 includes surgical excision after diagnostic confirmation:

- if not attached to bone, limited to subcutaneous tissue, one can opt for the excision under local anesthesia, which is a day care surgery, and you can return home within 5-6 hours with moderate expenses of surgery ( amount varies from center to center and surgeon`s expertise )

- if attached to bone or deeper , one may need a general anesthesia, hospitalisation for 24 hours and costly affair than above.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
